We use the terms 'we,' 'us,' and 'our' to refer to CLC Incorporated (the 'Company'), which owns and/or operates this website, and our employees, members, officers, partners, affiliated entities, representatives, attorneys, and agents.

We understand how important your privacy is to you, so we are committed to ensuring your privacy. This page outlines all of the steps we take to protect your privacy and what we do with your information that you provide to us through our website.

Protecting your information

What information do we collect?

In order to provide you with our services, we collect two types of information about our users: Personally Identifiable Information and Non-Personally Identifiable Information.

Non-Personally Identifiable Information:

This refers to information that does not by itself identify a specific individual. We gather certain information about you based upon where you visit on our site in several ways. This information is compiled and analyzed on both a personal and an aggregated basis. This information may include the website's Uniform Resource Locator ("URL") that you just came from, which URL you next go to, what browser you are using, and your Internet Protocol ("IP") address. How do we use information we collect?

We will use Personally Identifiable Information to enhance the operation of our site, fill orders, improve our marketing and promotional efforts, statistically analyze site use, improve our product and service offerings, and customize our site's content, layout, and services. With whom do we share your information?

When you sign-up for services through our site, keep in mind you will be interacting with a third party that operates under its own privacy and security policies. During enrollment in the Services offered by the sites, we may ask for your permission to receive offers from the Company and/or third parties. CLCIDPROTECT™ is a product of CLC Incorporated ("the Company"), which provides its services to you, subject to the following Terms & Conditions, which may be updated periodically without notice to you. You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time on the Company's website at

When using CLCIDPROTECT™, you shall be subject to any guidelines or rules applicable that may be posted periodically on the CLCIDPROTECT™ website. You understand and agree that violation of local, state, or federal laws, or the Company's or Third Parties' established policies and procedures might result in the immediate termination of this agreement at CLC Incorporated's sole discretion.

Please be aware that you must be at least 18 years of age to use CLCIDPROTECT™.

Description of Service

CLCIDPROTECT™ provides public record information ("the Service") using a variety of personal information suppliers, technologies, and public information databases ("Third Parties").

You hereby authorize and instruct CLCIDPROTECT™ to act as your agent by accessing and using any available online searchable databases on your behalf for the purpose of obtaining and gathering personal information about yourself for your use and benefit, and to request removal of your personal information from certain databases if you direct CLCIDPROTECT™ to do so.

The public information that CLCIDPROTECT™ obtains is delivered via the Internet by a digital dashboard that contains alert flags and nationwide public record information that is obtained from Third Parties, as well as proprietary databases and derived information.

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, any new features that augment or enhance the current Service — including the release of new CLCIDPROTECT™ services — shall be subject to the Terms & Conditions.

You hereby authorize CLCIDPROTECT™ to communicate with you with routine status update emails, monthly emails, alert emails, and with information about other privacy and security products.

Credit Card Acceptance

If you choose to use a credit card as your payment, you accept and agree to these Terms and Conditions:

CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS. By choosing to use a credit card as your payment method for CLCIDPROTECT™, you will be able to complete your purchase using any valid Visa, Master Card, American Express, or Discover account. Whenever you choose to pay for an order using your credit card, you are authorizing CLCIDPROTECT™ to charge your credit card for the total amount of your purchase, which includes monthly charges or other recurring charges. To complete your transaction, CLCIDPROTECT™, or an agent acting on its behalf, will create a credit card charge equal to your "Purchase Total", which will be presented to your credit card account. Your transaction must be payable in U.S. dollars. CLCIDPROTECT™, in its sole discretion, may refuse this payment option service to anyone or any user without notice for any reason at any time.

ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE. By choosing your credit card as your payment method, you agree that:

  • you have read, understand, and agree to these Terms and Conditions, and that this agreement constitutes a "writing signed by you" under any applicable law or regulation;
  • you consent to the electronic delivery of the disclosures contained in these Terms and Conditions;
  • you authorize CLCIDPROTECT™ (or its agent) to make any inquiries considered necessary to validate your dispute, which may include ordering a credit report and performing other credit checks, or verifying the information you provide against third-party databases, and
  • you authorize CLCIDPROTECT™ (or its agent) to initiate one or more credit card charges for the specified amount(s).

RETURNED PAYMENTS. If any of your payments are returned unpaid, CLCIDPROTECT™ reserves the right to charge you an insufficient funds fee of twenty-five dollars ($25.00).

CUSTOMER SERVICE. All questions relating to CLCIDPROTECT™ orders or any payments made using your credit card should be directed to us, and not to your credit card company that holds your account. CLCIDPROTECT™ 1-800-706-5749 will show up on your credit card descriptor. You may contact us regarding your CLCIDPROTECT™ order or any payments made using your credit card by calling us at 1-800-706-5749, or emailing us at

ERROR RESOLUTION POLICY. If you believe that any payment transaction initiated by CLCIDPROTECT™ (or its agent) with respect to your credit card is erroneous, or if you need more information about any such transaction, you should contact us as soon as possible by telephone or e-mail using the telephone number or email address provided in these Terms and Conditions. In any event, we must hear from you no later than 90 days after the date the questionable transaction FIRST appeared on your credit card account statement. When you contact us, provide us with the following information:

  • your name and the email address associated with your CLCIDPROTECT™ customer account,
  • a description of the error or the payment you are unsure about, and a clear explanation as clearly as you can why you believe it is an error or why you need more information,
  • the dollar amount of the suspected error,
  • the transaction date and associated transaction identification number from your credit card account statement,
  • a telephone number at which you can be reached in case we need further information,
  • the telephone number of the credit card company, and
  • that portion of your credit card account statement containing the CLCIDPROTECT™ transaction information (if requested).

If you provide us with this information orally, we may require that you send us your complaint or question in writing within ten (10) business days. A "business day" means Monday through Friday, excluding federal banking holidays. We will attempt to determine whether an error occurred within ten (10) business days after we hear from you and will correct any error promptly. If we need more time, however, we may take up to forty-five (45) days to investigate your complaint or question. If we decide to do this, and your inquiry or complaint involves any amounts charged to your credit card account, we may transmit a provisional refund to your credit card account for the amount you think is in error; so that you will have the use of the money during the time it takes us to complete our investigation. If we ask you to put your complaint or question in writing and we do not receive it within ten (10) business days, we may not grant provisional credit of the disputed amount. We will tell you the results of our investigation within three (3) business days after its completion. If we determine that there was no error, we will send you a written explanation, and we may, and you authorize us to, charge your credit card account for the amount of the provisional credit. You may ask for copies of the documents used in our investigation.

OUR LIABILITY. If we fail to charge your credit card account in accordance with these Terms and Conditions, in the correct amount, we may be liable for certain losses directly caused by our failure as the law may impose in such cases. However, there are some exceptions. For instance, we will not be liable where:

  • your credit card returns as insufficient funds;
  • your credit card account is closed or charges restricted;
  • any terminal or system was not working properly and you were advised of that before you initiated the payment;
  • circumstances beyond our control (such as flood, fire, power outages, mechanical or system failures);
  • your instructions are lost or delayed in transmission to us;
  • a reasonable security concern, such as unauthorized use, causes us not to honor your instructions;
  • this payment option has been discontinued or suspended;

If our error was unintentional and resulted from a bona fide error, our liability is limited to actual damages, which shall not to exceed the total sum of those charges deducted from your credit card account in error.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Your membership will renew automatically until cancelled by you. The renewal fee and the manner of renewal payment is set forth in the terms of your offer and is subject to change. the membership fee is set forth in the terms of your offer. If you have enrolled in the services directly with CLCIDPROTECT™, to terminate your enrollment in or use of the protection programs and/or monitoring services, you must call 1-800-706-5749 or cancel through your member portal; to cancel any other services, you must do so by calling CLCIDPROTECT™ at 1-800-706-5749 or terminate the service in another manner as instructed through the service. If you have enrolled in any of the services via a third party, you must terminate your enrollment in the services with that party.

For any cancellations, the following rules apply:


Billing Day: The same day each month as the enrollment date. For example, if the enrollment date = June 5, the billing day in subsequent months = July 5, August 5, September 5, and so on.

Billing Month: A one-month period that commences on the billing day and ends on the day before the next billing day. For example, if the enrollment date is June 5, the billing months would be as follows:

  • Billing month 1 = June 5 - July 4
  • Billing month 2 = July 5 - August 4
  • Billing month 3 = August 5 - September 4
  • And so on...

Billing Period: The period of time that corresponds with your billing frequency:

  • Monthly = 1 billing month
  • Annually = 12 billing months


You may cancel your membership at any time. You will continue to receive full identity theft benefits for the remainder of the billing period during the billing period in which the cancellation notice is received by CLCIDPROTECT™. Your membership will end on your next billing day at the end of the billing period in which we received your cancellation notice. No partial refunds. If you signed up as part of a promotional offer, you may request your promotional fee back only if you cancel within your trial period.


CLCIDPROTECT™ may give website visitors the option of subscribing to an identity theft newsletter distributed by CLCIDPROTECT™. That newsletter does not sell or rent the email addresses, but it does accept advertising for distribution to the mail list. You may opt-out of the newsletter by using the unsubscribe link on any newsletter.

Registration Obligations

You understand and agree that by using the Service you are responsible for paying the Company its applicable rates.

You understand and agree that along with the services that CLCIDPROTECT™ provides, you may also receive certain communications from the Company, such as service announcements, administrative messages, and newsletters. You understand that these communications are considered a part of CLCIDPROTECT™ membership and you will not be able to opt-out of receiving them.

You understand and agree that in order to use the Service you must be of legal age to form a binding contract, that you are not barred from using the services that CLCIDPROTECT™, including CLCIDPROTECT™, provides under the local, state, and federal laws, or other applicable jurisdictions.

You also understand and agree that when using the Service you will provide true, accurate, current, and complete information about yourself, and that you will maintain and update your personal information to ensure that it is true, accurate, current, and complete.

You understand and agree that if you provide any information that is untrue, inaccurate, not current, or incomplete that CLCIDPROTECT™ has the right to immediately suspend or terminate your account and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service.

You understand and agree that your Service subscription will automatically renew at the end of the predetermined time period (monthly or yearly), unless you contact us to cancel your account. Your subscription fee will remain the same.

Member Account, Password, and Security

You understand and agree that you will receive account login information upon registering on the CLCIDPROTECT™ website. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the password and your account information, and are fully responsible for any and all activities that occur under your password or account.

You agree to notify CLCIDPROTECT™ immediately of any unauthorized use of your account or any breach of security. You also agree to ensure that you will log out of your account at the end of each session.

You also understand and agree that CLCIDPROTECT™ or the Company is not liable for any damage or loss that results from your failure to comply with the Terms & Conditions.

Member Conduct

You agree and understand that you will not use the Service to obtain information about a person other than yourself or your minor (under 18 years of age) legal dependents. You understand and agree that this service is for researching your own information.

You also understand and agree that if CLCIDPROTECT™ or the Company has reasonable grounds to suspect that you are trying to obtain information about someone other than yourself, it has the right to suspend or terminate your account, and refuse any and all current or future use of the Service.


You understand and agree that the Service CLCIDPROTECT™ provides is "AS-IS," and that CLCIDPROTECT™ assumes no responsibility for the timeliness, deletion, failed delivery, or failure to store any information obtained or distributed via the CLCIDPROTECT™ website.

You understand and agree that since CLCIDPROTECT™ and the Company obtains data from Third Parties that the information may, or may not be, completely thorough and accurate. You understand and agree that not all transactions, including those that might entail the potentially fraudulent use of a customer’s information will be monitored and the scope of the network utilized by us to provide alerts may change. You shall not rely upon CLCIDPROTECT™ for the accuracy or completeness of information supplied in using the Service.

Financial Coach’s and Fraud Resolution Specialist’s (Frs) Professional Judgment

The Financial Coaches and FRS will provide objective and independent financial coaching and ID theft recovery advice to the best of his or her ability and cannot guarantee the actual outcome of the recovery process. Any identity fraud or incident that was discovered or should have been discovered by the covered member prior to the effective date of service is not eligible for fraud recovery services. In addition, if the Financial Provider or FRS makes the decision that it is not in the best interests of CLC to advise/pursue a matter/claim on behalf of the member, then all services may be immediately terminated at the sole discretion of the Financial Coach or FRS. The FRS reserves absolute discretion to cease representation, as agent under the Limited Power of Attorney, if in the opinion of the FRS the member is not an actual fraud victim or is pursuing a non-productive course of action to resolve ID theft claims and issues arising therefrom. This withdrawal discretion includes the abuse of the FRS relationship to avoid what the FRS determines may be a legitimate claim.

Liability / Warranty

Neither CLCIDPROTECT™ and the Company (nor CLCIDPROTECT™ 's data providers / Third Parties) shall be liable for any loss or injury that may arise out of the Company's acts or omissions, whether negligent or otherwise, in obtaining, distributing, compiling, collecting, interpreting, reporting, communicating, or delivering the Service.

By using the CLCIDPROTECT™ website, you understand and agree that every business decision involves assumption of a risk, and that CLCIDPROTECT™ and the Company does not underwrite that risk in any manner whatsoever.

You also understand and agree that in no event shall CLCIDPROTECT™ be liable for any incidental, indirect, or consequential damages, however arising, incurred from receipt or use of information delivered hereunder, or the unavailability thereof.

The CLCIDPROTECT™ service is provided on an “as is” basis and, except as set forth herein, the Company expressly disclaims all warranties, guarantees and conditions of any kind whether express or implied.


You understand and agree that these Terms & Conditions grant you a limited license in exchange for payment, and that you shall not reproduce, print, re transmit, republish, or otherwise transfer, any information received via CLCIDPROTECT™.

You also understand and agree that you are the end user of the information obtained by using the Service. You also agree that you are not accessing information via the Service on public figures, including names in the news, media personalities, political personalities, etc.

Fair Credit Reporting Act

You understand and agree not to use the Service for consumer credit purposes, consumer insurance underwriting, pre-employment purposes, tenant screening purposes, or for other purpose(s) covered by the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C Sec. 1681 et seq.) or similar statute.

Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act

You understand and agree to use the Service in strict compliance with the Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (U.S.C. Title 15, Chapter 94, Section 6801 et seq.) and similar state statutes, if applicable.


CLCIDPROTECT™ guarantees that the information we provide is obtained from a variety of the most accurate and reliable sources ("Third Parties") available to us.


COMPLAINT RESOLUTION: Should a member at any time have a complaint with or concern regarding the CLCIDPROTECT™ services, the member may call (800)706-5749 or send a written notice by email to or by mail to 3001 Lava Ridge Court, Suite 250, Roseville, CA 95661. The Plan Administrator will attempt to resolve the complaint within thirty (30) days or less of the notice. The member will be advised throughout the process of the steps being taken to resolve the matter, via telephone, email, or an acceptable means of communication to the member. The member expressly waives all matters of confidentiality for purposes of investigating and resolving any complaints or concerns.

BINDING ARBITRATION: In the event that any controversy or claim arises between the member and CLC Incorporated which is pursuant to the terms and conditions of this Agreement or pertains to services rendered hereunder which cannot be resolved by mutual agreement between the disputing parties, then such controversy or claim shall be submitted for settlement by binding arbitration in accordance with the then current rules of the American Arbitration Association as full recourse between the disputing parties.

The arbitrator(s) shall have the power to decide any dispute between the parties concerning the application or interpretation of this Agreement or the rendering of any service covered by this agreement. Any such decision rendered by the arbitrator(s) shall be final and binding upon all parties, but said arbitrator(s) shall have no power to change or add to the provisions of this Agreement. the location of the arbitration shall be Roseville, California. Prior to the beginning of the arbitration, each disputing party shall pay an equal share of the estimated cost of arbitration.

INTEGRATION: This Agreement represents the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes any advertisements, letters, articles, or written or oral statements, which predate or were made contemporaneously with this Agreement.

SEVERANCE CLAUSES: If any section is deemed null and void, such section shall be severed and shall not affect the validity of the rest of this Agreement.

Summary Description of Id Fraud Expense Reimbursement Coverage

This Agreement covers members whose plan does not include Identity Fraud Expense Coverage. This following summary is provided to inform members whose plan includes Identity Fraud Expense Coverage. If your plan includes Identity Fraud Expense Coverage, then you are entitled to benefits under the Certificate of Insurance. This Summary Description of Benefits does not state all the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the Certificate of Insurance. Your benefits will be subject to all of the terms, conditions, and exclusions of the Master Certificate of Insurance, even if they are not mentioned in this Summary. A complete copy of the Certificate of Insurance will be provided upon request.

The Master Policy (“Identity Fraud” Expense Coverage) has been issued to: CLC Incorporated (the “Master Policy Holder”) to provide benefits as described in this Summary.


CLCIDPROTECT™ provides up to a total of $1,000,000* in Unauthorized Electronic Funds Transfers” (UEFT) reimbursement, which includes up to $25,000* in ID Theft Fraud Expense Reimbursement Coverage for certain expenses incurred in reclaiming the member’s identity, with a zero deductible.

CLCIDPROTECT™ Fraud Expense Reimbursement includes, subject to limitations:

  1. Lost wages as a result of time taken off from work to reestablish identity (up to $500 per week for a maximum of four weeks).
  2. Notary and certified mailing costs for completing and delivering fraud affidavits.
  3. Long distance phone calls associated with reporting an identity theft and/or reestablishing a victim’s identity.
  4. Attorney fees incurred (with prior consent) from the insurer for:
    1. Defending suits brought incorrectly by merchants, creditors, or collection agencies.
    2. Removing civil judgments and/or criminal convictions wrongly entered against the victim.

Unauthorized Electronic Funds Transfers (UEFT) reimbursement includes, subject to limitations:

  1. Unauthorized transfers from a member’s personal (non business) deposit account initiated by someone other than the member and without the member’s permission.
  2. UEFT covers personal checking, savings, and money market accounts, both inside and outside of retirement accounts.

Exclusions and Limitations

Coverage is subject to all of the terms and conditions and limitations of the Master Identity Fraud Reimbursement Expense policy.

UEFT coverage specifically excludes certain accounts and acts. There is no coverage for business accounts of any nature. Members must have first sought reimbursement from the financial institution that issued access and held the funds that were stolen and from which the member has not received reimbursement from any source.

To file a claim under the Certificate of Insurance, call 1-800-706-5749, Monday through Friday between the hours of 6:00 am and 6:00 pm PST.
